This sale is only for a limited amount of time so take advantage of being able to purchase both games for under $10.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf now has it’s own video series titled “Inside the Treehouse with Animal Crossing” where the developers discuss some inside information about the game. You can watch the latest episodes right from Nintendo’s Youtube channel.

Iwata turns his focus back on the Nintendo Wii U where he shows some fun footage from the upcoming game, Game & Wario. This game features a series of mini games like the older Wario franchises. Gameplay with the Wii U gamepad will be implemented in various mini games including “Kung-Fu” and “Patchwork” which features the return of twin ninja sisters from WarioWare, Kat and Ana. Game & Wario will be hit shelves on June 23rd for $39.99.

Resident Evil Revelations is making it’s way from the Nintendo 3DS to now the Nintendo Wii U. The game will feature new characters and features including enhanced gameplay with the Wii U gamepad. Nintendo has let us know that this is year is the “year of Luigi”. Nintendo has announced numerous games and downloadable content that will be releasing this year that feature the famous green plumber. This morning, Iwata discussed the downloadable content for New Super Mario U for the Wii U called “New Super Luigi U”. This DLC will feature new levels with several new playable characters including yellow Toad, blue Toad, and Nabbit. Nabbit appears in New Super Mario U as an mini-game where you have to catch him throughout various levels, however, in “New Luigi U” he is only playable in multi-player mode and he will not be able to use power-ups. Because it is the “year of Luigi”, Iwata announces that Nintendo is releasing a stand-alone version of “New Super Luigi U” that does not require “New Super Mario U” to play. The DLC will be available June 20th for $19.99 on the Nintendo eShop while the stand-alone version will be available August 25th at retailers for $39.99.
luigiIwata proceeded to cover a little more about Pikmin 3 including new characters, how to play the game, and some of the story. Pikmin 3 will be releasing exclusively on the Nintendo Wii U on August 4th.

Last but not least, Reggie Fils-Aime, president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America, hinted that Nintendo’s press conference at E3 will focus on only games this year unlike the latter years where they announced the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U. Fils-Aime lets viewers know that Nintendo has partnered with Best Buy this year to allow those individuals who will not be attending E3 to demo the games featured at E3 at over 100 Best Buy stores.

This Nintendo Direct had some great news regarding E3 and additional information about anxiously awaited games like Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pikmin 3. After the conference, this tweet was posted by Satoru Iwata which will leave all Nintendo fans anxious for this summer and E3.
